 TNT Orders New Seasons of Three Hit Series: The Closer, Rizzoli & Isles and Leverage - 30 July 2010

TNT has ordered new seasons of three of the network’s hit series.  The Closer, which continues to rank as ad-supported cable’s #1 series of all time, will return for its seventh season.  Rizzoli & Isles, which currently ranks as cable’s #1 new series for the year-to-date, will return for a second season.  Leverage, which is performing exceptionally well in its new Sunday timeslot, will be back for a fourth season. TNT’s Critically Acclaimed Hit Series Men of a Certain Age Makes Its DVD Debut This Fall

TNT’s hit television series Men of a Certain Age, starring Emmy® winner Ray Romano (Everybody Loves Raymond), Emmy winner Andre Braugher (Homicide: Life on the Street, TNT’s Salem’s Lot) and Golden Globe® winner Scott Bakula (Quantum Leap) will make its DVD debut Nov. 2 with the release of Men of a Certain Age Season 1.  The release of the DVD will be followed by the premiere of the second season of Men of a Certain Age on Nov. 29 on TNT.

TNT’s Rizzoli & Isles Sets Record with Cable’s Biggest Ad-Supported Premiere after Outstanding Season Debut of The Closer - 13 July 2010

Monday night’s premiere of TNT’s new original series Rizzoli & Isles now claims the record as cable’s #1 commercial-supported series launch of all time, with 7.6 million viewers. The series, starring Angie Harmon and Sasha Alexander, raced out of the starting gate after an equally strong performance for the sixth-season premiere of The Closer, which delivered 7.7 million viewers, up 7% over its fifth-season premiere on June 8, 2009.
