Turner Broadcasting System Asia Pacific has today announced that it will assume full operational responsibility for WarnerTV including its programming, distribution, advertising sales and marketing. WarnerTV is the home to the region’s best blend of TV drama, action, comedy and crime series as well as films. The pan-Asian channel offers viewers exclusive new series, returning US hits and blockbusters from the vast stable of Warner Bros. Entertainment content.

On April 14, Turner Classic Movies will celebrate its 20th Anniversary with a day packed with 11 of the greatest movies ever made, plus the premiere of a brand new retrospective special, "TCM: Twenty Classic Moments." In addition, TCM will present an encore of its enormously popular and widely requested special, "Private Screenings: Robert Osborne," an in-depth interview with the TCM host, who has been with the network since the very beginning.

TCM Remembers Mickey Rooney with Multi-Tiered Salute
Turner Classic Movies is remembering screen legend Mickey Rooney with a multi-tiered tribute to the screen legend who passed away Sunday at the age of 93. The memorial tribute includes a 24-hour marathon of Mickey Rooney's most iconic performances, airing on TCM this Sunday, April 13, beginning at 6 a.m. (ET). Also on Sunday, the 2014 TCM Classic Film Festival will feature a newly added screening of the Rooney classic National Velvet (1944), which will be followed by a conversation with one of Rooney's closest friends, fellow screen legend Margaret O'Brien.

NCAA March Madness Live Sets All-Time Record with Nearly 70 Million Video Streams for the 2014 NCAA Tournament
NCAA March Madness Live, managed by Turner Sports, set a new record for video consumption during the 2014 NCAA Tournament with 69.7 million live video streams collectively across all platforms. This year’s live video streams are up 42% over last year’s tournament, far exceeding the total of 49 million live video streams for the entire tournament in 2013.
NCAA March Madness Live netted 15 million hours of live video consumed for this year’s tournament, also an all-time record and a 7% increase over last year. Additionally, NCAA March Madness Live represented a watershed event for the TV Everywhere initiative, marking record-setting year-over-year growth in usage and surpassing total TV Everywhere consumption for the entire 2013 tournament by the end of the second round.

Cartoon Network Brings Fan Favorites to WonderCon Anaheim 2014
The Land of Ooo will go quiet, the streets of Aberdale will be empty, the Gem’s temple will be dark, the park will be closed and Uncle Grandpa is packing up his RV because Cartoon Network is taking Adventure Time, Regular Show, Steven Universe, Uncle Grandpa and Clarence, respectively, to WonderCon 2014 held at the Anaheim Convention Center. Fans will get an inside look at the Network’s hit original animated comedy series with exclusive clips and answers to all their burning questions from series producers and voice talent at Cartoon Network panels scheduled for Friday, April 18 and Saturday, April 19.

2014 NCAA Final Four National Semifinals Deliver Most-Viewed College Basketball Telecasts in Cable Television History
Turner Sports and CBS Sports’ exclusive presentation of the 2014 NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball National Semifinals (Saturday, April 5) across TBS, TNT and truTV delivered the two most-watched college basketball telecasts in cable television history. The networks’ collective coverage of Kentucky against Wisconsin grossed 16.3 million total viewers and an 11.0 HH coverage rating to become the most-viewed college basketball game of all time on a cable television network, based on Nielsen Fast Nationals. The telecast peaked with an average of 18.6 million total viewers and a 12.7 HH coverage rating from 11-11:30 p.m. ET.

TCM Celebrates Doris Day's 90th Birthday with 24-Hour Marathon Thursday, April 3
TCM is paying tribute to one of the most beloved stars of all time as Doris Day marks her 90th birthday. The centerpiece of the multi-tiered celebration is a 24-hour marathon featuring a dozen of Day's hit films running all day today. Fans can also enjoy TCM host Robert Osborne's brand new audio interview with the legendary performer, which is now available in the TCM.com Media Room. And the TCM Store has a treasure trove of favorite Doris Day movies, music and more available for purchase, including Midnight Lace (1960), which was recently released through the TCM Vault Collection. In addition, Doris Day will mark her 90th birthday with "A Sentimental Journey," a three-day fundraiser benefiting the Doris Day Animal Foundation (DDAF). CBS Sports and Turner Sports Announce Coverage Plans for 2014 NCAA Men’s Final Four in North Texas
Turner Sports and CBS Sports will provide exclusive coverage of the 2014 NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Final Four and National Championship from North Texas with Connecticut, Florida, Kentucky and Wisconsin competing for college basketball’s top honor. TBS will televise the National Semifinal games on Saturday, April 5, with coverage beginning at 6 p.m. ET, marking the first time in the 76-year history of the event the games will air on a cable network. The network will televise three hours of pre-game coverage beginning at 3 p.m. CBS will broadcast the National Championship on Monday, April 7, with pre-game coverage live from AT&T Stadium beginning at 8:30 p.m., and the game tipping off earlier this year at 9:10 p.m.

Academy Award®-winning actor Alan Arkin (Little Miss Sunshine) is set to be a very special guest during the 2014 TCM Classic Film Festival, taking place in Hollywood April 10-13. He will sit down with TCM host Robert Osborne for an extended interview about his life and extraordinary career. The interview will be taped Sunday, April 13, in front of a live audience of festival passholders at the The Ricardo Montalbán Theatre. The interview will then air on TCM in spring 2015 as the original special Alan Arkin: Live from the TCM Classic Film Festival. In addition to his interview, Arkin will be on-hand to introduce a screening of The Heart is a Lonely Hunter (1968), which earned him an Oscar® nomination for Best Actor.
